These groups are designed to provide orientation to participants regarding the impact of alcohol and other drug use on individual behavior and driving performance. Illinois driving under the influence laws and associated penalties are also reviewed.

Participants are encouraged to further explore the impact of their own substance use and abuse and how this affects their families and other individuals.

Participants will be informed about alcohol as a drug, medical and psychosocial effects of alcohol abuse and the factors that influence the formation of patterns of alcohol and drug use disorder.
